Organization
The organization and management system of the instituteis composed of school leaders, administrative committee, academic committees and several research centers.
Administrative Committee: composed of school leaders and the directors of each research center, discussingabout and making decisions for the major issuesof the construction and developmentof the institute. The committee is convened by the president.
Academic Committee: composed of several well-known experts at home and abroad,their professional background is related tothe researchdirectionofthe institute. The committee can set up several groups according to the direction of the different disciplines.
Leadership: 1 president, 1 full-time vice president and several part-time vice presidents. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of the instituteand the implementation of the decision made by administrative committee.
Research Center (school-enterprise cooperation R&D center): In terms of the organization and management of scientific research, the institute will adopt a flat approach of scientific research organization, according to the trends and frontierofscientific development andvital national needs, combined with the practice of our school,gradually set up a number of research centers(school-enterprise cooperation R&D center)in accordance with the work ideaof “constructing a center as soon as it is mature”.
Operating mechanism
The institute implements president responsibility system under the leadership of school party committee, andestablishes administrative committeeand academic Committeeas well.
Administrative committeeis the supreme administrative authority of the institute, composed of the president, vice presidents and directors of each research center, andit is convened by the president. The main responsibilities of the committee are: to formulate development planning and all rules and regulations of the institute, to discuss the use and management of various construction funds, to determine personnel recruitment and appraisal program, to determine the construction and managementof instrument platform, and to determine other major issues related to the institute.
Academic committee is composed of well-known scientists in related fields at home and abroad who are nominated by the president and center directors. The role of academic Committee is to advise on major academic affairs such as scientific research development planning, research center construction, recruitmentof center director and academic evaluation. The term of academic committee is five years, with a maximum of two consecutive terms. The Academic Committeeholds at least one plenary meeting every year,where the president and center directors report to the academic Committee.
Center directors are responsible for the construction and daily management of research centers. All of the center directorsare openlyrecruited athome and abroad, interviewed by academic committee, nominated bythe president, and appointed by the school.
